Juan Carlos Recinos nació el 5 de mayo de 1989 en El Salvador. A la edad de once años, gracias a su madre, inmigró a Nueva York. Kira Kariakin. Caracas, 1966. Ha trabajado en el medio editorial venezolano como editora, agente literario, productora gráfica y consultora desde 1987. Fue directora gerente de la Revista Estilo (1994-1998) dedicada al arte contemporáneo venezolano. Entre 1999 y el 2008 vivió en Uganda y Bangladesh y desde 1999 trabaja como consultora de TIC´s para el desarrollo.
